Happy 2010!!
Go-go girls, belly dancers, burlesque dancers, pole dancers, S&M show (was weird)… Thoroughly kick started the new year with an insane party in Ginza's Sabaku no Bara. :) In Japan new year's s eve is mostly a family thing, a bit like Christmas back in Europe, where everyone heads back to their family's to see relatives. Either that, or you go clubbing. This is a more recent "tradition" of course, but some of the count down parties that the clubs through out the city stage for the occasion are quite impressive. I was partying together with a great bunch visiting from Oslo and I was a bit torn between the various count down parties I could take them to, including ageHa's event which was sporting Boom Boom Satellites and Ken Ishii and Legato's G10 party as some friends were going there. Sabaku somehow felt more like a typical fancy newy party and as a friend of mine was performing there the last minute decision ended up being to head out there. Turned out to be great! I forgot to bring a camera though, so I've lifted most of the photos from my fellow count downers (Thanks!). Happy new year everyone!! :)
